The night of s01e08*** (bitter-sweet end, but brilliant end. A must watch for this year)
Dragon ball super s01e56*'
Vice principals s01e07*'
Ballers s02e07*'

2016-08-28

16/08/28

Blood father (2016)* (a very meh Mel Gibson movie)
Andron (2015)' (this was low budget as hell, and tried to explore sci-fi societal themes (in this case overpopulation and voluntary slavery) that other film/tv shows/books have done way better)

16/08/27

Friday night dinner s04e06**
Dark matter s02e09*'
Hard target 2 (2016)*' (actually was better than I thought it'd, but not as good as the first or... I guess good in general)
Black road (2016)*' (one of those 'stuff happens just cos')

16/08/26

Agents of shield s03e11*
About time (2013)**' (really enjoyed this, wouldn't classify this as a romcom - more a fantasy drama. It was universally panned, but this is a 'turn brain off' type of movie)

2016-08-25

16/08/25

Mr Robot s02e08*'
Fear the walking dead s02e07-08**
Naruto shippuuden s01e473*'

Dark matter s02e08*'
Ray Donovan s04e09*'
The night of s01e05-07**
Now you see me 2 (2016)* (meh, wasn't as good as the first, which was only alright)
Jean Claude Van Johnson s01e01** (silly, but I like it, just needs a decent story arch)
The Tick s01e01**

16/08/19

Rush hour s01e13** (a series that suffered from the legacy of the movies more than anything, it wasn't a bad show, but if people don't watch it for that reason...)
Naruto shippuuden s01e472*'
The night of s01e03-04**

2016-08-18

16/08/18

Wasted s01e05*'
Mr robot s02e07** (things get explained)
The night of s01e01-02**

16/08/17

Twin peaks s02e20-22*' (this season was far too long, people have learnt the British way of doing things - quality over quantity - in this day and age)
Twin peaks fire walk with me (1992)*' (much darker than the series, don't expect the same level of humour - now onto the new series in 2017)

2016-08-17

18/08/16

The man who knew infinity (2015)** (Decent movie... apart from that cheesy line from Jeremy Irons about 'love' - you'll know the one. Slightly dumbed down, but understandable - that wasn't the point of the movie.)
Twin peaks s02e17-19*'

2016-08-15

16/08/15

Last week tonight s03e21**
Vice principals s01e05*
Ballers s02e05*
Ray Donavan s04e08*'
Star trek beyond (2016)* (It had action... but that's about it. Even then, too much action, original Star trek fans don't watch it for the action, although some is appreciated... maybe its this new demographic they're trying to appease, either way, I personally didn't like it. Incidentally, two of the current best British actors played bad guys in the last two movies, both of their character backgrounds made little sense).
Suicide squad (2016)*' (Started off really well, but, as with most Hollywood action flicks, its became very 'Hollywood'. Out of all the current gen. DC movies, this is probably the best, which is not saying much)

16/08/14

Dark matter s02e07*'
Twin peaks s02e016*'

16/08/06

Friday night dinner s04e03**'
Rush hour s01e11*
Dark matter s02e06*'
Twin peaks s02e01** (here we go again)
Meet the Blacks (2016)* (you get what you pay for here, doesn't over deliver, doesn't under deliver)
The jungle book (2016)**' (really good in my opinion, as faithful to the source and cartoon as possible. If you're going to replace Louie Armstrong - which you really can't - Christopher Walken is as inspired a choice as you can get. Weirdly, looking this up, it seems there's another jungle book is coming our in 2018... seems a bit unnecessary to have another one so soon. Here and in that, Sheer Khan is played by Idris Elba and Benedict Cumberbatch, two of the greatest actors to come from England.. coincidence, I.. think so)

16/08/05

Twin peaks s01e04-07** (..That's damn fine coffee you got here in Twin Peaks! And damn good cherry pie!)

2016-08-04

16/08/04

Wasted s01e03**
Mr Robot s02e05**
The legend of Tarzan (2016)*' (started strong, turned into typical Hollywood movie)
Ghostbusters (2016)* (not great, not entirely the worst movie - think Total recall reboot or Robocop reboot, similar unimpressive-ness and baggage)
Naruto s01e470*'
Jason Bourne (2016)* (imagine someone translating the first or third movie for the Chinese or Indian market, them saying 'nope, I don't understand this, too complicated, take it out', and 'nope, this is too difficult to shoot, take it out' a lot, then adding a few plot holes - you're left with Jason Bourne. Its exactly the same story as most the other Bourne movies, but with out the cleverness, first time twists or impressive cinematography)

16/08/03

The living and the dead s01e01-06** (extremely slow start, but things start to get intriguing at around ep4. Was really looking forward to ep6, started off different/strong, but then.... kind of just whimpered out. Also, the mum, she accepted things far too easily, some plot holes here.)

2016-08-02

16/08/02

Wasted s01e01-02**' (hilarious new show - definitely a millennials based comedy)
Unreal s02e09*'
The living and the dead s01e01*

16/08/01

Preacher s01e10**
Vice principals s01e03*
Ballers s02e03'
Ray Donavan s04e06*
Independence day resurgence (2016)*  (..meh, nowhere near as good as the first, some decent CGI, but nothing much more than that)
Twin peaks s01e01-03** (I heard this was one not to watch while high, they were right!)
