It does need better humour, and not rely on 90s jokes - but will definitely continue watching this.)

Transformers the last knight (2017)' (People should know what to expect going in, there are some major problems with this movie, the terrible accents and dialogue, the ever changing aspect ratios for some reason, the shoddy CGI, not knowing who's on whose side or why they're even fighting...but I guess it's not the worst thing I've ever watched...)

Rick and Morty s03e07**' (Ok, this wasn't a 'funny' episode.. but it was a 'black mirror' style episode about our society... basic take home message, if you're going to have a democracy, listen to your people or enjoy despotism driven by a populist movement)

17/09/10

Twin peaks s03e01-08** (I wasn't even going to pretend to know what happened over the first two episodes... but it doesn't matter. It gets explained slowly.. just need to enjoy this drug fueled trip)

17/09/09

The hitmans bodyguard (2017)*' (This movie has been slammed by most people.. its not the best movie, but I'm not sure what people were expecting going into it. I think people were disappointed given the cast (..Ryan..), its a silly movie with far too many explosions, but decent for a Friday night)

17/09/06

Pirates of the Caribbean Dead men tell no tales (2017)** (wasn't a bad movie, its like a lesser first pirates movie - but I feel the only reason it has legitimacy was because of the first and last scenes with Orlando and Kiera)

Boruto s01e22** (a good episode)

17/09/01

17/08/29

Terminator 3 (2003)* (Inspired by watching the first two movies, I decided to watch the others in the francise. This movie is terrible - after the greatness of the first two, this is what we get as the third. It has almost no redeeming features.)
Terminator salvation (2009)** (A better movie than the last - however, many plot holes, with much of the ending making little sense. Decent movie though.)
Terminator genisys (2015)*' (The movie should have just ended after the first 25 mins - this was by far the best part of the movie, playing on the nostalgia of the first movie. From there, it went rapidly down hill.)

The Terminator (1984)*** (I watched this as the 4k 3D version of Terminator 2 is in the cinema for one night only. There was a remastered version that came out a while ago. This is still a classic, the remastering has helped it age better, but you appreciate how good this was given when it was made.)
Terminator 2: Judgement day (1991)***' (20 years of the anniversary of original Judgement day, this movie was re-shown in the cinema. In terms of 3D, there were two scenes to note - the initial future scene was amazing, with the lasers and robots - the terminator vision scenes, where the stats/scans in white were flat but the environment in red is in 3D, with some additional 3D scenes like the computer factory/mini-gun scene and when T800 points the gun at the camera also being excellent. Its the best 3D movie I've seen, but not having the 3D does not take away from how good this movie is. In my opinion, the greatest movie in history - and I'm glad I got to see it in the cinema).

17/08/28

Game of Thrones s07e07**' (With all the hype of this season, I was slightly disappointed with this episode. It's still very good, but the execution in Winterfell and the 'boat' were not subtle. It was as if it was forced to be implemented by fans - this is not how Ice and Fire is supposed to go).

Death note (2017)*' (Admittedly, I've never seen the anime - I feel as though this movie's pacing is off. No exploration of Mia for example, which means, anything that happens to her, we don't really care, and don't understand why she does what she does (I'm a cheerleader is not an exposition) - saying all this though, I enjoyed it, so much so, I might look up the anime)

17/08/24

BBC India's partition the forgotten story (2017)*' (good watch, although, I feel as though it is biased, maybe for good reason?)
Agents of SHIELD s04e16-22** (actually, this last quarter of this season was not bad)

Prison break s05e07-09*' (So many plot holes.. like seasons 2-4, things would not happen this way, e.g. like Linc being able to just leave the hospital after a gun shot)
Baywatch (2017)** (Went into this wanting to hate it, ended up liking it far more than I should - typical millennial movie, some good cheap laughs to be had, not like the 90s show though, but contained enough 'cheese' to make this enjoyable.)

The Mummy (2017)* (nowhere near as good as the 90s version, with Tom Cruise and the female lead (not being sexist, she's not very well known) adding very little to the movie. Most of the movie was just set pieces which may you wonder 'wait, how did they end up there?' or 'they easily over powered that mummy, how are they so inept now? Wonder Woman (2017)*' (The best DC movie since the Nolan Batman series, and it wasn't actually that great. It was basically following the Marvel movie formula, and at this point that was their only chance of success. Honestly, they should just give up and stick with the TV serials, but people will go watch it, and they will make money. Also, how can they speak all the world languages if they never had contact with the outside work, languages change! I decide to pick on this point, rather than the magic lasso and idea of modern day Greek Gods.)
Revolt (2017)' (A mostly forgettable movie, I guess it delivers what it promises, probably got its money back considering its low budget)

The Putin Interviews s01e01** (very enlightening, he has a way of speaking that makes you come round to his side - you sort of understand his point of view on America... but then you remember Crimea, the homophobia, sexism, rampant racism that goes on there (not that that stuff doesn't happen on the US's watch either mind), and its more like counter arguments more than anything else)

Power rangers (2017) (OK, I was the biggest fan of Power rangers in the 90s, but I knew/know how cheesy and cringeworthy it is/was. I had little expectation going in to this, but the simplest thing I can say about this movie is that its just boring. From that initial cow/bull 'joke', I knew it was downhill. Why him? (2016)* (Its a standard 'feel good' movie, like 'Meet the fockers' but the boyfriend is the weird one. As always, everything gets wrapped up in the last 10 mins and its full of plot threads that are ignored or swept under the carpet - do people really think staff/equipment/business models and contacts at a papermill can change to one producing electric toilets that quickly! I think this is a thought process that citizens and politicians in most western countries have - to their detriment. Investment in re/education and infrastructure is needed, both privately and publicly.)
