The million pound question s01e01*

Star trek discovery s03e06-07*

The crown s04e01-10*'

Soulmates s01e01-06* (that one episode of Black mirror, but a series)

Lego star wars holiday (2020)* (on paper, it could have been really good - but then they have the scene with Kenobi saying 'hello there', and Rey doesn't reply 'general Kenobi'... shame)

Fatman (2020)* (that one episode of Family guy expanded into a movie)

Animaniacs s01e01-13*' (it start off patronisingly self-aware, but is actually quite funny later on)

Mismatched s01e01-06' (this seems like its some foreign 'Indian's' fever dream of what college is like in India - I cannot see this being realistic - and to be honest the only redeeming episode is the last one where everything collapses)

Tenet (2020)*' (Its good, but I don't think this deserves the hype - the trademark Nolan fast pace scenes with just 'relevant' detail is a little dated now, and I don't think this helps the story)

The Simpsons s32e04-06*

Bobs burgers s11e04-06*

Last week tonight s07e28-30*'

Top gear s29e05*'

Star trek discovery s03e04-05* (could be good, but seriously needs to turn down the cringe)

Young Sheldon s04e01-02'

Blackish s07e05'

Have I got news for you s60e06'

Family guy s19e05-06'

The trial of the Chicago 7 (2020)** (first of the three movie run - well acted, good storyline, probably a little extra artistic license taken, but good watch)

The new mutants (2020)* (knows what it is, although its a little patronising at times, better than I expected it to be)

The wolf of Snow Hollow (2020)** (was a completely different movie than what I was expecting)

The walking dead s09e02-16* (this season started off well, but got really boring towards the end)

The walking dead s10e01-16* (carried on from last season, with it getting slightly more interesting at the end)

Fear the walking dead s05e01-16' (this was just comical at times, that axe-bullet scene - thought this was the gushy version of the walking dead, but it could get much worse...)

Fear the walking dead s06e01-05* (started off better, is getting more interesting)

The walking dead world beyond s01e01-02- (gave this 2 1/2 episodes and walked away - bad acting, uninteresting story let, and just annoying annoying people - trying to do a zombie genre without blood, yeah good luck!)

Alice s01e01-16*' (I thought this was good, although it really got confusing as to who liked who - a bit too BTTF in that regard)

Signal s01e01-16*' (It was a good watch, but went on for a little too long)

2020-11-01

20/10/27-31

Archer s11e08*'

Star trek discovery s03e03* (still very circle-jerky, but getting better)

Blackish s07e04'

Have I got news for you s60e05*

Being British East Asian s01e01-03 (This was bad - not only was a bunch of whining with no solution, when there was opportunity to confront things, she just ran away. Not saying things mentioned here aren't problems, but these kinds of shoddy 'documentaries' and her attitude are not the answer.)

Last week tonight s07e27*

Boral subsequent moviefilm (2020)* (wasn't as shocking/cringey as the first movie, and its more clear that their storyline was based on what they got away - still, it was entertaining)

Bad boy billionaires India s01e01-03*'

2020-10-20

20/10/17-19

Have I got news for you s60e03*

Last week tonight s07e26*

W two worlds apart s01e01-16*' (not as good as the previous two shows I watched - still good though, even with the repetition)

2020-10-17

20/10/05-16

The Simpsons s32s02-03*

Family guy s19e02-03'

Bobs burgers s11e02-03'

Spitting image s01e01 (yes its satire, but its not funny - will be giving this a miss)

Last week tonight s07e25*'

Top gear s29e01-02*

Blackish s07e00'

Archer s11e05-06*

Star trek lower decks s01e10*

Have I got news for you s60e02*

Star trek discovery s03e01' (not a great opening, was a bit self-unaware)

Enola Holmes (2020)*' (much better than I was expecting, worth a go)

Familiar Wife s01e01-16** (another great Korean show, went on slightly longer than it should have, but very engaging)

The boys s02e01-08* (wasn't as good or shocking as the first season)

2020-10-04

20/10/01-04

Archer s11e04*'

Star trek lower decks s01e09*'

Have I got news for you s60e01*

Harry Hills world of tv s01e06*

Enola Holmes (2020)*' (not as bad as I thought it'd be, just need to view it as a non-Sherlock movie (which isn't hard considering he's barely in it))

2020-09-29

20/09/23-28

Archer s11e03*'

Star trek lower decks s01e08*'

Bobs burgers s11e01*

Family guy s19e01'

The Simpsons s32e01*

Last week tonight s07e24*'

Ghosts (2019) s02e01-06* (wasn't bad, some light comedy, some contrived situations)

Tomorrow with you s01e01-16** (I sought this out as I like time travel, its a Korean drama - the actors were so over the top dramatic, so sappy, so contradictory (they must have split personalities), everyone kept talking to themselves, so much arm pulling.... but - god damn did they draw me in and get invested. I can see why this show got good reviews.)

2020-09-22

20/09/01-22

Star trek lower decks s01e05-07*'

Harry Hill world of tv s01e02-05*' (fight!)

Archer s11e01-02*' (its back)

Travel mans greatest trips s01e01-04** (missed the series first time around, glad I watched this)

Superman man of tomorrow (2020)*'

Mulan (2020) (I guess from our western point of view, the movie was a poor imitation of the original, but it was obvious that it was made for a Chinese audience - akin to the last airbender except it has a reason why it was bad. It was kinda boring really.)

KonoSuba s01e01-11** (if you can get past the slightly risqué animation, this was actually quite funny)

KonoSuba s02e01-11** (quality maintained)

KonoSuba legend of crimson (2019)*' (wasn't as good as the series, still good though)

Lost in translation (2003)** (had this on my list to watch for a while - apparently it got good ratings due to its relatability - I can see that even though I couldn't personally)

Des s01e01-03*' (was more dramatised than the script demanded, but very well acted)

20/08/27-31

Great pretender s01e01-14*' (pretty good, different from other animes)

A suitable boy s01e01-06' (This irked me - it was such a mishmash of modern progressiveness but this was completely countered by some 'understandable' (for the time) traditional views. A lot of it didn't make sense, and all of this was exacerbated by the patronising and hypocritical main character)

War with grandpa (2020) (Robert de Nero needs to top up his $7M annual income somehow - terrible)

The binge (2020)' (meh - the purge but worse)

Bill and Ted face the music (2020)* (gets a star simply for the nostalgia - not a particularly standout movie)

Corporate s03e06**

Star trek lower decks s01e04*'

Last week tonight s07e23*'

2020-08-26

20/08/14-26

Last week tonight s07e21-22*'

Star trek lower decks s01e03*'

Corporate s03e05**

Harry Hills world of TV s01e01' (watched for Harry Hill, not that funny)

Belgravia s01e01-06** (a Downton surrogate, right down to the music - entertaining)

Our girl s05e01-06* (better than last season)

Manhunt s01e01-08** (an interesting series)

Manhunt s02e01-10*  (not as well done as the first season)

Devils s01e01-10* (started off really slow, then got interesting, then the ending was meh)

Putin a Russian spy story s01e01-03*' (an interesting take)

Lucifer s05e01-08**

Deathstroke knights dragons (2020)*' (Deathstroke as a good guy is odd)

Tesla (2020)* (unusually stylish, don't think it helped but seemed required, otherwise it'd be about 10mins long)

Cowboy Bebob the movie (2001)* (forgot to watch this along with the series, not as good)

Elementary s07e01-13* (meh)

Pure UK s01e03-06' (wasn't as interesting as the first two episodes)

Designated survivor s02e01-22* (half way to the west wing, with a crap Maggie Q storyline)

Designated survivor s03e01-10*' (better than season 2 - also the unnecessary Maggie Q storyline finally ends)

2020-08-14

20/08/01-13

The Umbrella academy s01e01-10*'

The Umbrella academy s02e01-10*' (another superhero show, not as good as 'the boys', but better than the current offerings on TV)

Giri Haji s01e01-06*** (this was brilliant, such great characters and really funny at the off times - Rodney makes the show)

Scots in China s01e01-02* (weirdly self-serving, didn't exactly inform beyond what people already know)

Psych 2 (2020)** (so good, really hope the team come back every now and then)

Stargirl s01e12-13*

Last week tonight s07e20*'

Agents of SHIELD s07e11-13* (ok end, definitely needed to end)

Corporate s03e03-04**'

QI s18e11*

Star trek lower decks s01e01-03*' (not bad, may have been better as a free web-series, its similar quality as those shorts you see on Youtube)

Horizon s57e12* (there's a bit of a political bias in this which seems to suggest that things would be bad with AI incorporation, but this is only the case if the NHS gets funded using the current system - too many people are fighting progress to keep their jobs/status)

Blackish s00e02* (this lost episode - would have worked better if with modern 2020 updates)

20/07/18-31

Afro samurai s01e01-06*' (had a bit of a Samurai kick lately, decided to watch this, not bad but super predictable)

Afro samurai resurrection (2009)* (movie really didn't add anything and wasn't as good the series)

Cowboy beebop s01e01-26** (very good, space bounty hunters - firefly the precursor)

Samurai champloo s01e01-26** (this was stylish, made a good series and had great characters)

Indian matchmaking s01e01-08*' (trash TV at its finest, not quite 'tiger king', but Netflix has this ability to make you hate or feel sorry for certain people without anything more than a slight glance)

Last week tonight s07e18-19*'

Stargirl s01e10-11*

Agents of SHIELD s07e09-10'

Corporate s03e01-02** (so good, always on point)

Central park s01e10*

QI s18e09-10*

Boruto s01e157-158*

2020-07-18

20/07/06-17

Hamilton (2020)** (The mainstay of the liberal American white middle class to prove they can't be racist - I can see the appeal of this, its a good production)
Stargirl s01e08-09*
Agents of SHIELD s07e07'
Central park s01e08-09*
Paul Hollywood Eats Japan s01e01-03' (another push by the Japanese tourist board to show how exciting and open Japan is, just in time for the olympics... wait.. - ironically they all show very similar things, which not only makes it seem as though things are homogenous across the country, but gets quite boring, giving less incentive to visit - the host doesn't really help the situation)
Boruto s01e155-156'
QI s18e08*
The king of Staten island (2020)** (this was a good watch - this NEET thing is suddenly getting explored rather than ridiculed)
The Luminaries s01e01-06*' (not bad, although the premise doesn't really match with the story)
Journey to China the mystery of iron mask (2019)- (Was expecting the pro-China stance, wasn't expecting the pro-Russian stance too - so this movie was just bad on all fronts, acting, story, premise, CGI, pacing, lip-syncing (!), everything. They clearly had the money to bring in famous actors for about 10 minutes - should have spent that on making the movie better - it was like they film three movies separately and just glued it together. But I guess it doesn't matter if it was well received in China and made all the money.)
Palm springs (2020)*' (Not a bad rom-com, mostly it was about the whole Groundhog day thing - although like a lot of rom-coms, things get sorted in the last 2 minutes, with her suddenly realising that she loves him.)
Japan sinks s01e01-10*' (This got a lot of hate - it wasn't that bad. Some big pacing and constant animation issues, also the music was just weird given the tone of what was happening. I think the biggest problem was the unbelievable reactions to people dying - that and question why people were dying given so many other options.)
Close enough s01e01-15* (stereotypical millennial parents the show)
The old guard (2020)* (not bad, but for some reason expected this to be far more epic)
Snowpiercer s01e01-10' (other than the premise still not making sense, it wasn't the best show - felt cheap in many ways)
Tokyo godfathers (2003)**' (enjoyed this, so much story in such a short time)
Welcome to NHK s01e01-24** (when you start to hear your furniture talking, its time to head out of the house - wasn't the happiest about the girls story being explained in 5mins, which was far more tragic than his)
Millennium actress (2001)** (not sure what I was expecting, the non-linear aspect throws you off, but makes sense in the end)

2020-07-06

20/07/01-05

Agents of SHIELD s07e06*
QI s18e05-06*' (Its weird, but actually is not that bad without the audience)
Central park s01e07*
Warrior nun s01e01-10* (Did not start off well, direction and premise was all over the place - but got better as the series went on. That ending ruined it though.)

20/06/25-30

Agents of SHIELD s07e05*
Central park s01e06*
Last week tonight s07e17*'
The Salisbury poisonings s01e01-03*' (Had I watched this before March, this would have been so much more poignant - post COVID, were all experiencing lockdown and death (not to takeaway from that one death that happened) - its all a bit meh, and actually the residents annoying whining against their own safety echoes what's happing now)
Perfect blue (1997)** (was not ready for this - a good watch)

2020-06-25

20/06/15-24

Agents of SHIELD s07e03-04'
Central park s01e04-05*
QI s18e02-04*
Last week tonight s07e15-16*
Stargirl s01e05-06' (Starting to turn into a teenage sitcom)
Marcella s03e01-08*' (Didn't have to pull of the first two seasons, still worth a watch)
Pokemon journeys s01e01-12*
The boondocks s01e01-15** (Decided to watch this given the times. Its really hard to recommend this show - its really made for a particular audience that understands and enjoys satire. This is an anime-style show that tries to tackle racism in both a realist and unrealistic way)
The boondocks s02e01-15**' (This was way ahead of its time, with very relevant topics for today)
The boondocks s03e01-15** (Although sometimes it pushes beyond the line with its racist 'overtones', which can feel like a miss when watching it)
The boondocks s04e01-10**

2020-06-15

20/06/12-14

Good girls s01e09-10*'
Good girls s02e01-13** (better season, they acknowledge that they are bad people)
Good girls s03e01-11*  (this does need to end with their deaths or arrest, or it'll end up as bad as Dexter)
Patema inverted (2013)**' (wanted to get back into anime, this was definitely a good start)

2020-06-11

20/06/01-11

Last week tonight s07e13-14** (ep 14 ✊)
Rick and Morty s04e10**
Stargirl s01e03-04*'
Legends of tomorrow s05e15*
Agents of SHIELD s07e02'
Central park s01e03*
Better things s04e01-10*
Brockmire s04e01-08*' (gets surreal, but a good end)
Workin moms s04e01-08'
MacGyver s04e01-13* (gets a little silly, but at least it was fun)
Blood machines s01e01-03* (come for the patronising futuristic 80s acid trip, stay for the awesome music)
Gary and his demons s01e01-16** (actually a lot better than I thought it was going to be)
Goods girls s01e01-08*' (wanted to watch for a while, its like someone phone over the plot to breaking bad, and changed some of the names to make sure they weren't caught cheating)

2020-06-01

20/05/26-31

The real marigold hotel s04e01-04*'
Legends of tomorrow s05e14*
Agents of SHIELD s07e01'
Central park s01e01-02*' (Bobs burgers but in New York and singing)
QI s18e01*
Have I got news for you s59e09*'
Space force s01e01-10*
Westworld s03e01-08* (it turned into another 'AI vs humans' story, and not a very good one - others have done it much better)
